Warranty Policy
Last Updated: 21 April 2026
At Multiple Networks Ltd, we stand behind the quality of the IT hardware, networking equipment, and enterprise solutions we sell. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, limitations, and claims process for defective products purchased through our website.
Warranty Coverage & Duration
The 30-Day Short-Term Right to Reject
As stated in our Refund Policy, if your hardware arrives "Dead on Arrival" (DOA), develops a fault, or does not perform as described within the first 30 days of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund or a direct replacement.
Standard Warranty (After 30 Days)
If a product develops a hardware or manufacturing fault after the initial 30 days, it is covered by a standard warranty.
- Duration: Unless otherwise stated on the specific product page, all new items carry a minimum 1-Year (12-month) Warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Coverage: The warranty covers hardware failures, component defects, and workmanship issues that arise under normal, intended business or consumer use.
- Remedies: Under warranty, we or the manufacturer reserve the right to repair the item, replace it with an equivalent or newer model, or offer store credit if a replacement is no longer available.
Manufacturer Warranties (OEM)
Because Multiple Networks provides high-performance enterprise IT hardware from leading global brands (such as Acer, HP, Dell, etc.), many of our products come with a comprehensive Manufacturer’s Warranty that may extend well beyond 1 year (e.g., 3-year, 5-year, or Lifetime warranties).
- Claiming Directly: For the fastest resolution, we highly recommend registering your product with the manufacturer and claiming warranty support directly through them. Manufacturers have specialized diagnostic tools, dedicated replacement stock, and sometimes offer on-site support.
- Our Assistance: If you need help finding the manufacturer's contact details, warranty portal, or need us to handle the manufacturer RMA on your behalf, Please contact us at operations@multiplenetworks.co.uk.
Warranty Exclusions & Limitations
To ensure fair use, our warranty does not cover damages or faults resulting from:
- Accidental Damage & Misuse: Drops, spills, physical neglect, or use outside of the item’s intended environmental/operational specifications.
- Customer-Induced Damage (CID): Examples include bent CPU pins, torn flex cables, scratched motherboards, or applying conductive liquid metal improperly.
- Power Issues: Damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, or using incorrect power supplies.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Opening sealed enterprise drives, removing warranty stickers, or unauthorized repairs by third parties.
- Consumables: Items that naturally degrade over time, such as laptop batteries, printer ink/toner, and thermal paste, unless they are "Dead on Arrival."
- Software Issues: Operating system corruption, firmware update failures, malware, or driver incompatibilities.
Data Loss & Liability (Important for Storage Devices)
Multiple Networks is not responsible for any data loss, data recovery costs, or downtime associated with returning defective storage media (SSDs, HDDs, NAS drives, or servers).
Before sending any device for a warranty claim:
- You are solely responsible for backing up your data.
- You are responsible for wiping/removing any personal, sensitive, or enterprise data from the drives.
How to Make a Warranty Claim (RMA Process)
If your item becomes faulty and is within its warranty period, please follow these steps:
- Contact Support First: Many IT hardware issues can be resolved with a firmware update or basic troubleshooting. Email us at operations@multiplenetworks.co.uk with your Order Number, the serial number of the product, and a clear description of the fault.
- Obtain an RMA Number: If the item needs to be returned, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Do not send items back without an RMA, as they will be rejected by our warehouse.
- Pack Securely: Securely pack the item in suitable packaging (preferably the original box and static bags to prevent static discharge damage during transit).
- Label the Package: Include the RMA number inside the box or on the shipping label. Do not write directly on the manufacturer’s original retail box.
- Shipping: For warranty claims after the initial 30 days, the customer may be responsible for the cost of safely shipping the item to us or the manufacturer. Multiple Networks will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement item back to you.
