Introduction

Axis Q1700-LE is a purpose-built network camera for reading license plates. Designed for outdoor installation, Q1700-LE can produce crystal-clear images of vehicles moving at up to 81 mph (130 km/h) - day or night. Axis includes a license plate capture assistant that adjusts image settings for speed, vehicle distance, and camera height. The camera is designed for integration with third-party edge or server software, so you use the solution of your choice.

Q1700-LE uses a professional sensor to take 1080p Full HD video. The lens enables 8x optical zoom, giving the camera incredible reach and providing higher pixel density for a given area, improving the identifiability of the license plate characters. The camera has built-in infrared lights with OptimizedIR to adapt the power-efficient LEDs to different zoom levels, giving you an IR range of 50m (164ft) in full tele mode. Infrared support means the camera can read license plates even in pitch-black conditions.
